Scarva Earthstone ES5 Original White Clay From £2.58
Firing Temp 1180-1280°C
Scarva Earthstone Original White matures between 1180°C-1280°C, firing white. It is highly resistant to warping and cracking. The addition of a small proportion of carefully blended and graded molochite means that ES5 Original White throws large pieces easily and responds well to press moulding and slab building. Scarva Earthstone Original White is highly regarded by professional potters.

I was so happy to learn that shipping to the Highlands of Scotland was no more expensive than to anywhere else and it arrived within 3 days!
It's beautiful clay and I will order again in a flash!

Lovely clay to throw, handles nicely on the wheel and is pretty smooth; my only criticism is that the claimed Tmax of 1280 is perhaps a tad optimistic - dinner plates slump badly at 1260 and the probable Tmax for flat or complex forms is closer to cone 6 at a guess.
