SCARVA Vivid Coloured Decorating Slips are coloured using our most intense stains. They are suitable for use on both Earthenware and Stoneware bodies. When manufacturing our slips we believe in using high percentages of stain to give strong, vivid colours throughout the range. The slip can be applied to leather hard clay with brushes, sponges or slip trailers. After biscuit firing the pots should be glazed with a suitable transparent glaze, which will further enhance the vibrant colours.

These slips are excellent quality with consistent colour. Fine tuning with Nano stains gives limitless range of totally reliable colour. Beautiful smooth working texture.
As with any pigmented medium, colours can have their own particular foibles, but these are very easy to manage with a good stir and diligent application.
I have hand built a large pot with white stoneware clay, I would like to put a coloured slip on and burnish it before bisque firing and then smoke fire. Do you think this is a suitable slip?
