Ancient Jasper is a fluid, opaque glaze that transitions from soft black to olive green to rust red as it is applied thicker. This glaze has an active, varied surface by itself and layers with our other Potters Choice glazes with striking results.
Due to the powdered nature of the materials involved with the dry-mix dipping buckets of this product, their respective health information and labels differ from the brushing glazes.
Safety Warning
Tableware producers must test all finished ware to establish dinnerware status, due to possible variations in firing temperature and contamination.

Great results with this on white stoneware fired at 1280. Really exciting teamed with other Posters Choice colours. Note to self, always try and test fire different colour combinations so you can recall the precise colours created and repeat them as desired.
This glaze is great on its own or in combination with various other glazes. You can get so many different effects with it depending on how you use it. Can run if thick, but gives very cool copper red crystals if applied thickly to the inside of a piece.
Can this glaze be brushed on?
Also how will it react to other potters choice glazes if they are layered or overlap for example?
Scarva Replies:
Hi! Yes, this is a brush on glaze - you can use Amaco's layering resource by copying and pasting the following link - https://www.amaco.com/glazes-and-underglazes/layering
Hope this helps!
