Cosmic Tea Dust is a sparkly, dark brown glaze, which breaks a light yellow-brown over texture. The sparkle shifts subtly from silver to copper to give the glaze an iridescent quality. Great for layering with other potters choice glazes!
Due to the powdered nature of the materials involved with the dry-mix dipping buckets of this product, their respective health information and labels differ from the brushing glazes.
Safety Warning
Tableware producers must test all finished ware to establish dinnerware status, due to possible variations in firing temperature and contamination.

I did a test firing. On a vertical surface it did not run during the firing. I've yet to test it on a horizontal surface. That's in the kiln at the moment. Wonderfully sparkly with 4 coats on the vertical. It moved more when layered over 'Deep firebrick'. The texture of the glaze is very liquid but I had no problems using it.
I have only made a test tile on stoneware, fired at 1240. This glazes goes on thinly and spreads evenly when fired. There is some dark definition around raised features, as per product photo. The overall effect is a mid brown with an overlay of a darker brown speckle that has a metallic 'glint'. It has an old fashioned Lustre ware appeal and I imagine it around the top of a mug, as banding on a bowl, or even bead making.
Hi, what is the firing range for this glaze please?

Can this glaze be brushed on?
Also how will it react to other potters choice glazes if they are layered or overlap for example?
Scarva Replies:
Hi! Yes, this is a brush on glaze - you can use Amaco's layering resource by copying and pasting the following link - https://www.amaco.com/glazes-and-underglazes/layering
Hope this helps!
