I have only made a test tile on stoneware, fired at 1240. My test tile sparkles like enamel work, and really catches the light. It has a rich brown background, but on my piece, no amber on the raised areas. It pools into coppery patches with bright red sparkling spots. Fabulous for bead making, I would imagine.
It looks absolutely stunning layered over Blue Rutile (deep dark blue with highlights in creamy lighter blue and golden brown), and almost as good over Oil Spot (a deep rich purply brown with golden highlights). But it's also producing lots of ominous pinging noises which hasn't happened with any other Amaco PC combination I've tried before. I only got it out of the kiln this evening, so am still waiting to see just how much it's going to crack. I'm guessing that tendency is why it isn't food safe.
