Very pleased with the product. I applied Bolz high gloss transparent on it and the finish of my ceramic was beautiful. Highly recommend.
I used this underglaze and the Amaco V318 - rose pink together on leather hard buff stoneware, bisque fired and glazed with a reliable translucent glaze, and out of 17 mugs that I made only 2 of them are even close to passable. The rest have an awful rough sandpaper texture ONLY where the underglaze is, and there are pinholes everywhere so completely unusable. Where the underglaze isn’t present the translucent glaze has worked perfectly, and where I used another brand of black underglaze on other parts it is also completely fine. Very disappointed in this brand.
AMACO Velvet underglazes if left unglazed they have the appearance of velvet. They will intensify in colour when covered with a Clear Transparent or Gloss glaze.
