Botz 9420 Grey Feather From  £9.72

Works well on small and larger pieces.

This glaze seemed to split into shiny darker areas and a rougher textured pale sections. Applied 3 coats with a brush on a small white pot. The result is rather nice and looks like layers of grey and blue watercolour.

First time I used two coats and was disappointed with the dirty greyish brown colour. Tried again with 3 coats and am delighted with the lovely grey/ blue mix of colour.

I’m still making my mind up if I like this glaze or not. I think I was expecting it to have more variation of blues in its finish, to be fair I have only used on a couple of items so far. As a slightly mottled mid grey it is lovely and works well. Applies easily. I think the variation may come through experimentation 😀
