9501 Carnival

BOTZ earthenware glazes are available ready to use in 200ml jars. Stir the glaze thoroughly and apply 2-3 coats. The glaze soon dries allowing the pots to be lifted into the kiln. For best results allow the glaze to dry for a day before firing.

Results will vary depending on thickness of glaze, clay applied, shape of vessel and final firing temperature.

The ideal firing temperature is around 1040°C with a 30 minute soak.

Glaze finish: Glossy

  • Transparent saturated with colourful specks
  • Brilliant on red and black clay
  • Ideal if combined with single-colour glazings, e.g., under or over 9348 Spring green, 9349 Bright yellow, 9350 Summer blue
  • Can be fired up to 1100°C

wonderful
The carnival glaze was wonderful, it was so much better than i thought it would be as it came out really thick and took a long time to dry, but the effect is brillant. I love it!

Hello! Are these crystal Botz glazes food safe?
jocelyn from Australia
The Botz earthenware glazes are not ideal for making food save ware we would recommend using stoneware glazes instead, they are more suitable for making dinnerware, hope this helps.
