Botz 9888 Black granite From  £10.38

I have only made a stoneware test tile fired to 1240 with this glaze. It is true to the product information photo, in fact, rather better. I can see a dark french navy background overlaid with a black speckle. It did not break over texture and obscured the raised detail, so I would suggest only good for smooth surface use.

This glaze has a beautiful speckled black. It reminds me of a very full starry night. It's really beautiful and covers well with quite spa**e brush on. I used it on scarva white stone ware, thin round object.

I've used this glaze on ES5 at 1215 and 1220 C and got lovely results. A subtle speckle as in the photo. It's easy to apply and gives a very smooth result.

I love working with this glaze as it is so reliable, it does not run and the matt finish is very tactile. It works great for domestic ware.

This is a favourite glaze. Beautiful smooth finish with a speckle that makes it more interesting than a plain black. Love it.

I bought this to compare to Terracolor anthracite brush on glaze. It's very smooth and even, just like on the sample image.

A lovely satin finish and not quite black, more a sort of deepest blue-black
