Chrysanthos Crackle Glazes are available in severaldifferent colours they are ready to be applied direct onto bisque fired ware.
To obtain optimum results, 2 - 3 coats of crackle glazeshould be applied using a well-loaded glaze mop brush. Ensure each coat is dry before applyingsubsequent coats at right angles to each other.
For the best results, the Crackle Glazes should be firedbetween cone 06 - 999°C and cone 04-1060°C The samples shown have been fired to1000°C, the pot on the left is made from a stoneware clay body and the pot onthe right an earthenware clay body, due to the difference in expansion ratesthe stoneware body tends to give a very fine crackle whereas the earthenwaretends to be quite wide.
