I have recently stumbled on Diamond Core’s array of products and was like a kid in the proverbial candy shop when I did. One of my first purchases was this sticky pad and it lives up to the promises! I find it particularly effective with larger (heavier) pieces, but it also works reasonable well with smaller ones.

It does keep the piece more stable than a foam mat when you don't want to wet the rim to adhere to the wheelplate.
