I wish I bought one sooner. I was unsure if it only worked with pins. My wheel has no pins. It absolutely works without pins. It saves so much time.

I have always found entering a piece to turn a nightmare have just turned my first piece using the griffin and it was so easy and the piece looks great

I've had this several weeks and absolutely love it! They are extremely expensive, so it's taken me a while to be able to justify the expense, but I'm glad I did.
It is extremely easy to assemble and use. An ingenious bit of engineering.

Very expensive for what it is.
Makes an absolute mess with trimmings going everywhere on my shimpo wheel. Not enough space for the trimmings to fall in the bowl. Would recommend the bowl extensions to try and control the mess.

Wouldn’t recommend it for thin fine work such as porcelain as it grips at 3 points and will distort your work.
Good for thicker stoneware and tall pieces with the long leg extensions.
