3/4" x 4" in diameter, a Padauk Round Wooden Rib for Throwing Perfect Bowls Re-design by Hsinchuen Lin.
This beautiful piece of pottery tool is made of exotic Padauk and is great for making nice bowls.
They should not be left in the water or shurry bucket for a long time. After finishing, use a sponge to clean the surface, and set out to dry. In a couple weeks, apply mineral oil (my student use olive oil) on the surface and you can continue to enjoy their beauty and function!

This round rib is beautiful. I am starting to get the hang of using it and it is a massive help smoothing the inside of bowls without digging into the interior. A very useful addition to my toolbox. It is quite expensive and definitely a treat, but we all need to treat ourselves!
