Each rib is finished with a tung oil and wax mixture that deeply penetrates the wood to make it more durable in water,however we recommend storing out of water when not in use.
This rib is for general use and works well as a bowl rib for bowl interiors. The flatter bottom part of the rib is useful for setting the curve on small to medium size plates
