The New P59760 is Potterycrafts Topworker Professional Top Loading kiln made in our Stoke-on-Trent factory, with a capacity of 120 litres (4.2 cu/ft) this model of kiln is ideal for professional studios and schools and colleges working on a medium to large scale.
The Side walls are low thermal mass 23 Grade 76mm thick bubble insulation brick with a 25mm backup insulation giving 101mm of insulation. Outer jacket is stainless steel with adjustable tensioning clamps to enable the kiln to always be kept ridged throughout its lifetime. The kiln lid is also low thermal mass 23 Grade 76mm thick backed up with 12.5mm of high grade fibre board giving a lid thickness of 88.5mm. The lid top has a powder coated steel cover plate. Gas struts make opening the kiln effortless. The lid hinge allows the lid to move freely reducing the risk cracking during the firing. The kiln floor 108mm of super-efficient Ultralite granular insulation normally found in industrial kilns. Three support bricks are located in the base to enable a shelf/batt to be placed above the insulation.
Firing Capacity: 118 litres (4.2 cu/ft). Maximum Temperature: 1300°C (Cone 10) Chamber Dimensions: 460mm wide x 690mm deep External Dimensions: 670mm wide x 890mm deep x 1110mm high Weight: 111Kg Power: 8.8 kW Supply Required Single Phase (Amps): 40A Supply Required 3 Phase (Amps): 15A

CERAcontrol is the latest development in a long series of controllers, they incorporate new software giving improved efficiency and ease of programming together with up to date safety and diagnostic features.
CERA-10 has 10 programs each with 10 segments. Delay start and program pause. Each segment has a heating/cooling ramp, a target temperature and a soak. This controller is ideal for firings where a range of programs are frequently used.
It can be used for any firing requiring close control over multiple heating and cooling ramps such as macro crystalglazes and for glass slumping and fusing.
Delay start
A period of time to elapse before controller starts a firing, for example, inorder to make use of off-peak power.
Heating/Cooling Ramp
The rate of heating up or cooling down, usually expressed in number of degrees per hour, e.g. 150°C per hour. A Kiln firing to 600°C at 150°Cper hour would take 4 hours.
Set Point/Target temperature
The temperature at which the controller changes the ramp rate, starts to soak or switches off. For example aprogram might fire at 100°C perhour to the first set point of 600°C then fire at 250°C per hour to top temperature of1120°C.
Soakor Dwell
The period of time that the kiln is held at a temperaturein order to smooth out glazes oreven out temperature in the kiln. Typically 15 to 20 minutes. Segment One partof the program, usually consisting of a ramp, a target temperature and a soak.
Event Relay
Output from a controller tooperate an automatic damper, opening and closing it during the firing.
