Will this plaster (or any other you have) cast details of eg a fingerprint for making slab press moulds or sprigs for putting onto a bowl etc for retaining the detail for over a year or two so I can practice making them into a detailed bowl/pot of the prints for remembering her special day’s’.. My daughter is quickly growing and I want to cast her finger prints with my family’s fingerprints for pressing slabs of semi porcelain slabs into/ onto it /them. Thanks for your support and feedback, Eliza

Yes you can make an imprint into any clay then pour in any plaster to take a cast of the impression. Hope this helps.

Which plaster is best to make a mould for a slab built clay bowl? I'd mix the plaster and water by hand in a plastic bowl then leave it there to set.Once turned out the clay slab would drape over the plaster mould. Thanks.

If I fill my mold with water before adding plaster, will the resulting plaster body be higher in the mold than the water level was? Thanks for your help.
Kerry from United Kingdom
We would advise mixing the water and plaster together and then pouring into the mould.
