Onggi is a Korean pottery tradition …of making large and small storage jars for every day use.
Onggi potters developed fast and efficient ways of making storage jars. Instead of using the coil building technique, the potters built their pots using slabs of clay that were then formed using a wooden paddle and spoon, stretching and shaping the pot while it span on a wheel . No water is used, so they can make giant jars very quickly without the jar collapsing as it gets bigger.
This throwing spoon is 275mm long with a 50mm & 43mm spoon end.
