The addition of specially selected molochites make ES160 Special an incredibly versatile body. This clay’s plasticity and remarkable handling properties give it the ability to ‘stand up’ well when throwing large pieces. It is highly resistant to warping, cracking and thermal shock. Earthstone ES160 Special is also ideal for salt-glazing, reduction and wood firings. The body fires white to give an excellent base for colour decoration.
