Scarva Earthstone Stoneware Underglazes have been developed to achieve dependable colour results at high temperatures, a feat which most commercial underglazes struggle with across the colour spectrum. Scarva Earthstone Underglazes are richly pigmented to give dependable, vibrant colour at your given firing temperature and can be used in a variety of application techniques. They can even be thinned to create beautiful watercolour effects.
Unglazed they will have a beautiful matt velour finish, glazing with an appropriate transparent will intensify the colour creating dramatic results.
Available as both a 100ml brushable liquid or as a handy 33ml writer pen, perfect for drawing and writing to create new and exciting designs or outline work.
Earthstone Underglazes are fully intermixable.
For best results, we recommend applying your Earthstone Stoneware Underglazes, bisque firing to 1000°C before glazing with Our new Scarva ColourCoat Underglaze Transparent Glaze, and glaze firing to the equivalent of Orton Cone 6 - 9 on your computerised controller.
