I have never mixed my own glaze from power after I had mixed this I found it difficult to brush it on my bisque ware it seemed more like a dipping glaze have I mixed it wrong. I couldn't find exact powder to water ratio so went on what was advised on an online site.

To make a dipping glaze simply mix 1000grams of powdered glaze to 800ml of water, pass through a fine sieve (100mesh) then adjust consistency if necessary, glaze is ready to be applied to bisque. To make a brush on glaze simply mix 1000grams of powdered glaze to 800ml of RM1072 Glaze Medium, pass through a fine sieve (100mesh), glaze is ready to be applied to bisque. Hope this helps.

Would these glazes be OK to fire at 1220 degrees Celsius ?
Caroline from United Kingdom
Providing you choose the 1260oC version it will be fine.
