I used the transparent glaze with a white earthenware clay first. This was very frustrating as every single piece came out wrong with chippings and cracks. I fired my items at 1080.
Then I tried it with a different clay. The result was better. But almost every piece bubbled up. And then I realised this glaze must be applied thinly, otherwise it cracks, and also it only works for me firing at 1000 degrees. Becomes beautiful and shiny and so perfectly smooth I just want to stroke my fired pieces. Now every single piece comes out perfect.

I mixed this up according to instructions but found the glaze to be very thick. I added more water but it was still quite thick when dipped.

I tested it at this consistency to see what would happen firing to 1060 (C) with 15min soak. Even though the application was thick it did not run which is great and provides a nice clear shiny glaze. However there were crazes albeit not a lot so I will look to increase water content slightly and also firing a bit highter perhaps i.e. 1100-1150.

Crazes happened on both slipcasted E/W and Earthstone ES10 smooth slipcasted.

Lovely glossy glaze, I've been using this as my EW transparent glaze for a while and seemed a good fit for my KGM body clay. However my pieces are starting to show some delayed crazing months after firing. Not quite the right CTE.
Hope this is useful feedback!
