The Scarva GZ2166 glaze has been specifically developed as a high gloss transparent for applying over underglaze. This glaze is also very good when combined with stains giving fantastic colour development.

Firing temperature: 1040° - 1100°

I am a long time glaze dodger, there I’ve said it! I have mucked up so many pieces that had potential at the glazing stage and I had convinced myself that it was because I liked my pieces that way, but oh the revelation that comes with a really good, gloss glaze and this is just that. I’m currently using it on Scarva Terracotta Crank clay over Velvet Underglazes and it’s wonderful!!! Thank you for bringing me back to glazing 😊😊😊

Hi I fired this to 1059 and it’s come out cloudy over undergkaze which had previously been fired at bisque . Any advice? It’s a new kiln. Thanks

Hi, if it's coming out cloudy it's likely to be because it's been applied a little too thick. You could try thinning your mix sligtly with water, dipping for less time or applying fewer coats if brushing. Hope this helps!
