Black glaze beauty
This glaze covers very well and have an extremely black sheen to it. Very velvety and super black. I will use this a lot.

Easy to use
After a couple of false starts where I failed to get an even coating of glaze, this worked very well indeed, and produced a smooth, silky finish.

Can this glaze be made up to be used as a dipping glaze?
I was also wonderring this about the white and clear in this range? or are the Teracolors the only dipping glazes you sell.
Thank so much for your help.

Yes anything that is in powder form (grams or kg) is supplied in powder so can be made into a dipping glaze, hope this helps.

Hello,
I've fired this on stoneware at 1260ºC with a 10' soak.
The cups have come out very glossy, not satin at all.
Could you clarify if there's any step I should take to ensure a satin finish or to minimise the gloss?
Thanks!
Pol from United Kingdom
Hi, if you have fired to 1260°C on your controller this is likely too high when heatwork is accounted for. i would suggest reducing the temperature on your controller to 1220°C. This should help!

Hi there, 3 coats for both the GZ2212 and the Scarva Reactive Glazes.

I understand 3 coats are recommended for brush on reactive glazes, how many when dipping?
Harry from United Kingdom
Hi, just one dip - held for 3-4 seconds.

Hi, is this glaze food safe? I would want to apply it to mugs in particular. Many thanks.
Sam from United Kingdom
Hi there, yes it would be food safe if fired correctly on an appropriate body.
