Rigidizer is a liquid applied to the surface of fibre blanket, or other high temperature ceramic fibre insulations by spraying or brushing. After air-drying, the rigidizer firms-up the refractory ceramic fibre, giving it tougher, more abrasion resistant characteristics. It is normally applied after the ceramic fibre is installed.

Good product
This is a good product at a reasonable price. Scarva were the only suppliers I could find without shipping from USA. Duties to the ROI cost almost as much as the item itself, but that can't be helped.
The rest of Scarva's extensive range is also great. I will likely be a returning customer.
Thanks for a professional and quick service

Fast delivery
Product is what it is and works as intended. Delivery was fast to Ireland of not a little bit expensive. I would still buy again though

What colour is the rigidizer liquid? Will I be able to see where I have applied it to already on white ceramic fibre? Thanks
Ben from Ireland
Hi, this product is clear. You could add some food colouring to see where you've applied - the colour will burn out on firing. Hope this helps!

How do I use this product and does it need watering down. what coverage has it got. I am lining a small cylindrical kiln 2 ft high by 17ins. diameter.
Mary from UK Channel Islands
Simply brush or spray the rigidiser directly onto ceramic fibre, it does not require any alteration. 1 litre should be enough to cover your kiln.
