Nano Colours are manufactured to a very fine particle size; this has many advantages. Nano Colours disperse more readily throughout a glaze or slip resulting in more uniform and defect free surfaces. During the firing process Nano Colours fuse more vigorously creating purity, intensity and brilliance. Nano Colours are stronger therefore less percentage is needed to create vivid colours making them extremely cost effective. Due to the fine particle size Nano Colours are ideal for screen-printing applications. • 62 Vivid Colours • Cost Effective • High Firing • Lead Free • All colours are intermixable • Maximum Firing Temperature 1280°C • Add approximately 8% to make opaque glaze Please be aware that if you intend to use stains to make underglazes you must add underglaze flux

What amount of nano stain can one add to a transparent glaze to make a transparent coloured glaze - or will it always be opaque?
Cecilia from United Kingdom
To make a translucent coloured glaze using the Nano Stains add around 3% to a transparent base. To make an Opaque glaze add between 8 - 10%. The only exception to these rules are when using dark blue stains and black as they are more powerful add between 1 - 1.5% for a translucent effect and 4-6% for an opaque glaze.
