Developing my glazing skills.
Why use 1260 degree glazing if good glazes can be obtained from 1060 degree powders. Do you have guidance note for mixing for applying with spay gun and Air Brush, viscosity,

The main reason is to do with the clay body and it being matured and the glaze fit between the glaze and the clay body. Generally stoneware clays and stoneware glazes are more suitable for functional ware because the clay body is vitrified. Making functional earthenware is possible however it may involve a high bisque and low glaze firing then trying to get the glaze to adhere to the vessel can be problematic.
