 SCARVA Nano Earthenware Crackle Glazes were developed in the Scarva laboratory. They are ideal for creating an aged/antique effect. Simply apply glaze, fire, then rub Indian ink onto glazed surface to intensify the crackle effect. For best results leave glazed vessel after firing for at least 48 hours to allow crackle effect to develop.Nano Earthenware Crackle Glazes use no lead in their manufacture so are ideal for the classroom and studio. All 9 quality colours are offered in powder or brush on form. • Extremely cost effective • 9 pastel colours • Lead Free • Translucent For best results fire to orton cone 04 or 1040°C with a 30 minute soak on a computerised controller. Firing range: 1020-1060°C Glaze Finish: Glossy Crackle glazes are not suitable for food use.
