The slip sets in 10 mins, removable from the mould after 1 hour and will hold its form well. Once fired to stoneware temp the result is great, dishwasher safe and with it being self finishing if you burnish before firing the results are comparable to actual Whitby jet even without a glaze. If firing to the top end of the range (1240) you need to cast slightly thicker (15min casting time) to prevent warping.
