Scarva Nano Colours NPK007 Seafoam Green Porcelain Crackle Glaze
Another new addition to the Scarva catalgoue is the beautiful range of Porcelain Crackle Glazes. These glazes were delveloped in the Scarva lab after ever increasing demand for crackle glazes especially for Porcelain bodies. They are available in both powder and brush-on and we recommend 2-3 coats. After firing the crackle should be given time to develop, usually around 48 hours is a good estimate. To further enhance the crackle, Indian ink or very strong tea can be applied over the glaze to highlight the crazing. Please be aware that due to the nature of crackle glazes they are not suitable for use on dinnerware.

Beautiful
A beautiful glaze with a slight crackle to create an interesting surface. The glaze has a tendency to settle and harden in the bucket but this was easily solved by Brendan’s suggestion of adding Calcium chloride

Hi, 100 degC/hour to Orton cone 8 (on most controllers this is 1220-1230) with a 10 minute soak. Hope this helps.
