Hi there
i see from a reply about the mixing of the powdered clay , about using 2.5ltrs of sodium silicate , do you need to use that ?
along with 5ltrs of water ,
thank you

The recipe is as follows, please note there is only 6grams of sodium silicate:
Porcelain - 5Kilos
Water - 2.5Ltrs
Sodium Silicate140TW - 6Grams
The sodium silicate is very important without this ingredient the clay will require alot more water and therefore not cast very well. Hope this helps.

Hi,
how does this porcelain compares, in terms of translucency, to parian?
Thanks
Scarva Replies:

Very similar to parian, the only difference that parian will have a more satin effect almost self glazing when mature.

hi
Can this be used to make terra Sig ? thank you
Scarva Replies:

Hi,
There is no reason why this wouldn't work, the resulting Terra Sig will unlikely be as good as if made with plastic clay however.
Hope this helps!

Hello, Could you please advise what ratio i need to mix this with water to make a slip for decorating. And would that be suitable to decorate ES5 SW clay. thanks
Scarva Replies:

Hi, this wouldn't really be suitable for a decorating slip on ES5 as the two have different rates of shrinkage
