Hi, would this work if the 'mould' being used was an already glazed bowl? Would the soft soap dry, as it would not sink into the surface as with a plaster mould? I want to use the bowl as a mould but am afraid the plaster would not come out once set. Thank you.

Yes this will work for the purpose you want, just be sure to apply generously.

Hello, I've bought some slump moulds and would like to cast plaster reverses. If I apply the release to the slumps, will I still be able to use them with clay after I have cast the reverses? Thanks so much.

Yes still abble to use, they will just need a good wash.

A high quality Mould makers size also known as soft soap used in the production of plaster moulds to prevent sticking of the two plaster faces. Mix half/half with boiling water. Allow to cool; apply with a brush; wipe off excess with a natural sponge. Apply 3 coats, allowing to dry between each application. Remaining soft soap may be store in an air tight container for use at a later date.
