Hi
How much alginate do you think I need for casting an arm up to elbow ( in total is 38-40 cm long).
Thanks

I think 2-3 bags should be enough.

once ive made my alginate mould. can I pour porcelain slip into mould. will it take it please?

Sorry this will not work as the alginate is not porous. You would normally use a plaster mould to create cast forms.

Hello, thank-you for the very quick delivery of all three products I purchased from you.
I'm very happy with the alginate, but finding getting the correct consistency difficult. I want to make a lifecast of my face. There a basic instructions on the label, but no real measurements.
Would you be able to tell me a good recipe/measurements of alginate and water (other than 1 part to 4)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Yes simply mix 1 part alginate to 4 parts water for example 100grams of alginate to 400grams of water. Use tepid or cold water as warm or hot water will make the alginate set faster.

Yes they can be used lots of times depending on the thickness of the mold.
