Mold Makers silicone is a high quality moulding compound developed to give the maximum economy in terms of price while maintaining and providing high quality reproduction, long mould life, very low shrinkage and no risk of the casting material gripping the mould surface. Mold-makers silicone has been formulated for easy mixing by hand; with colour coded components giving a visual aid to ensure mixing is adequate. The two components mix easily and because of the low viscosity most grades can be used without processing in a vacuum chamber. • Two part Silicone Rubber. • Yields a flexible, elastic material with excellent tear resistance. • Excellent tensile strength. • Good polyester resistance. • Very good elongation for easy moulding. • Shore A hardness 20. • For all kinds of rubber moulds for souvenir and gypsum products. Just the job
I haven't used it for making a mould, but actually a moulding. Elf ears, to be precise. Not only did I do the moulding I also coloured it using concentrated acrylic paint - Two words.... B....y fantastic. It set properly, showed no sign of a change in characteristics and peeled out of the mould perfectly... Chuffed to bits.

It’s making my life so easy!
I’ve been using silicone rubber for ages and never find the right brand and the right product until the day I decided to check if Scarva has this product in stock! It’s brilliant! I make art dolls and there are many parts of my sculpted work that need to catch very little details like finger nails or the nostrils and Scarva Silicone rubber is absolutely perfect!
I just bought my kiln and started to make my dolls in firing clay body and I’m feeling blessed to have Scarva around me so I don’t have to buy outside UK. My customer are very smart collectors mainly from US and I’m proud to tag my dolls from now “totally handmade in Britain with the best clay which is Scarva and proudly British” they’ll love it and it is good for me!
Thank you very much Scarva team!
Also the delivery is so fast!
Love love love Scarva!!!

Is this silicone suitable for making moulds for cold process soaps? Am thinking in terms of what may be released from the cured mould & into the soap during the saponification process, being retained within the soap & possibly transferred from the soap to the body when the soap is used.
cress from United Kingdom
Yes you can use this silicone rubber for casting soaps.
Scarva Team
Hello, im making wall mount sculptures which i will be making silicone moulds in boxed frames. Could you give me a guide to how many cm2 a 1.1kg silcion mould would cover. Thank you Kassie
Kassie from United Kingdom
This kit will cover an area approximately 10cm x 10cm x 10cm.
Scarva Team
I also would like to know if this product is self adhering? for example if mixed to little to cover a sculpture could i then mix another batch and have both silicon parts stick together (like how plaster behaves)? Thank Kassie
Kassie from United Kingdom
No it will not stick to itself, one pour is advisable.
