any idea % shrinkage to stoneware for this clay?

Hello,
We have measured the shrinkage of this clay to stoneware 1260°C to be approximately 7.5%. This is based on samples fired in our test kiln and should be used as a guide only. Our test kiln may be a different size or operate under a different firing schedule to yours, additionally the moisture content of the clay can vary slightly.
It is best to use shrinkage figures simply as rough estimates, more accurate figures can be carried out by doing your own individual testing.

Can you please recomend a transparent galaze that fires to 1280°C for St Patrick Clay SP80 Glenarm White? Thanks.

Scarva recommends using our GZ2150 Multi-purpose transparent, it is high firing, gives good coverage and once fired is tough and durable.
