A superb solidly built wheel with a very smooth spin, I can't imagine ever needing to replace it.
There are cheaper (alloy type) wheels available but don't bother, this one will last forever. Also the build quality makes it heavy which is a plus in my opinion.
I did a fair amount of research on this before buying. I wanted something that would spin well and keep going and initially looked at the heavier ones i.e. above 6kg as I thought they would keep going better due to their weight. I found that this wasn't the case as the more weighty banding wheels are designed to take heavier clay pieces and tend to slow more quickly when spun with small items placed on them. I would recommend this item, it seems well made and robust. Its not painted, just comes as-cast so if you want 'pretty' look at something else. Its actually more grey in colour than the picture shows by the way.
