Scarva Wax Theatrical Glass Wax From  £4.55

I purchased this to make a sculpture of water, I needed to make a large crystal clear lump and even when very thick, it is perfectly transparent. It is simply a difficult material to use as it is like treacle when molten and to remove bubbles it must be cooled slowly from my experience. All in all, it's a great product.

In small amounts, this wax is quite easy to use.
I used this wax to create a large transparent shard that was 80mm at it's thickest point which was problematic, it was difficult to melt such a large amount (around 4kg), you must melt it all and bubbles will appear, these will dissipate if you lower the heat and keep it molten.
It has the consistency and stickiness of treacle at this point.
Avoid adding any foreign contaminants as this will colour it but it may need stirring.

The difficulty is in the mould you use, find a heat proof material with a completely smooth surface, alternatively, heat the surface incredibly gently and it will remove any surface detail but the temperature shock can cause it to crack.

Looks perfect for the project I'm working on, was supprised at the clarity and quality of the wax, crystal clear, was also delivered quickly and reasonably priced, may buy again in future.
