I use this wheel for my mobile pottery workshops. Some folks recommend the foot pedal version but I find the lever control easier when I'm teaching. The wheel head is a little small (to be expected) and there are limits to how much clay it can manage (also to be expected) but I have found no negatives when using this with students of all ages.

I bought 5 of these for teaching pottery lessons. Light weight, easily moved and stored, excellent motors, solid construction. Perfect for anyone who suffers from back problems. Would Recommend for everyone from beginner or professional who prefers to stand whilst throwing. Excellent wheel.

I spent a long time deciding which wheel to get, watching review videos and searching the internet. So pleased I bought this wheel. It works really well, is very controllable, quiet and so easy to clean and store when not in use. I chose the hand lever option as it allows me to throw either standing or sitting, in comfort. Scarva have been brilliant. I live in England, but that wasn't a problem. I had a concern when the wheel first arrived, but it was dealt with to my complete satisfaction and I would certainly buy from Scarva again.

Bought this as a gift for my wife. She is really happy with how the Shimpo wheel works and is having great fun learning! The wheel itself is quiet and has a decent weight to it, so does not feel like you are working on an 'entry level' item. The price from Scarva was 10% cheaper than elsewhere and I was impressed with the customer service received (from Brendan) both in pre-sales query about stock availability and in answering a small query about the wheel after we received it. A+

I bought this unit for my granddaughter. my biggest problem was table-top Height. So I made a very low table same size as the stool I use. Then we had know troubles at all, it works just the same as any full size wheel & is much quitter. she is getting along fine for the time we have had it. Very pleased.

I bought this after struggling on my massive old wheel indoors in the hot summer. It will enable me to work outdoors next year if I want. You can also buy an inverter and plug it into your car, so I can go to the forest and pot if I want. I had a problem with it at first, as it comes with two plastic batts, but then I purchased two wooden/MDF batts from Scarva too (Dirty Girl Tools). After a little sanding down of the batt holes, they fit perfectly and the wheel runs like a dream. Don’t expect the power of a normal wheel as it’s only 100w, but it makes no mess and it’s great for demos too. It’s beautiful quality and I absolutely love it.

Im a beginner and didn't want to spend too much, neither did I have much space. I looked at videos online regarding this product and it definitely does the job. In fact im having great fun with it. Would recommend.

Well designed wheel - works quietly and fits into fairly small space. Easy to clean down.
