The manufacturers state that the Shimpo Aspire should be ordered CCW or CW accordingly. Would this be the case please ? I am interested in buying this product but am confused with this particular issue.

This wheel is supplied with a switch that you can change the direction from clockwise to counter clockwise.

Hi
Could you tell me the diameter of the wheel head? Is it aluminium?
Many thanks.
Scarva Replies:

Hi,
It's 250mm. The wheelhead itself is aluminium but is supplied with plastic batts to make it easier to use.
Hope this helps

Does it have bat pins ? so the option to use a batt system is possible?
Thanks
Scarva Replies:

Yes the aspire wheels have pins as standard however the bat is only 10 inch diameter where most bat systems are 12 inches so will be to wide for this particular wheel.

As the bat on this wheel is 2 inches smaller than most, would this effect the diameter of the item being thrown? For example could you throw a larger platter? I'm quite new to pottery and can't decide between this wheel and the RK 55.
Scarva Replies:
|
Hi, due to the construction of this wheel it is not suitable for throwing large platters. In this case the RK-55 would be a better choice for that type of work. Hope this helps!

Hi,
When using the foot pedal - do you have to keep your foot on it to keep the wheel turning? Or can you use the pedal to set the speed and then remove your foot ?
Thank you.

Hi, if you buy the model with a foot pedal, is there still an option to use it with a lever when desired? Would this require purchasing a lever separately?
Scarva Replies:

Hi, no, unfortunately you can't change from pedal to hand lever on these wheels.
