I've fired this glaze to cone 6 (1180 C with a 15 min hold and slow cool until 1100 C ) but that makes the glaze a lot lighter. With a grayish float on top of it. Still pretty though. I'm going to try to fire it to cone 5, I've seen different results on the spectrum Facebook group when the floating glazes are fired to cone 5 in comparison to cone 6. It just changes into a different glaze.

Lovely glaze, and great as a base. Better to use cone 5-5.5, when it is hire it may appear lighter. Yeah, I’ve just tried it a couple of times but am definitely going to experiment more!

I like all of the Spectrum floating glazes, they seem to play nicely together and with Earthstone ES5 Stoneware clay.
