1/1
A beautiful new addition to the Spectrum family of glazes for 2019. This exciting new range of 12 glazes are developed for firing between 1200 - 1240 (Cone 5/6). They break and react beautifully especially when applied over textured surfaces. For best results we recommend experimenting with thickness to get the effect you desire.

Much lighter on cone 6
I've fired this glaze to cone 6 (1180 C with a 15 min hold and slow cool until 1100 C ) but that makes the glaze a lot lighter. With a grayish float on top of it. Still pretty though. I'm going to try to fire it to cone 5, I've seen different results on the spectrum Facebook group when the floating glazes are fired to cone 5 in comparison to cone 6. It just changes into a different glaze.

Lovely purple glaze
Lovely glaze, and great as a base. Better to use cone 5-5.5, when it is hire it may appear lighter. Yeah, I’ve just tried it a couple of times but am definitely going to experiment more!
