So many colours appeared when glazed over a flecked clay - purples, blues as well as pink - nothing like the photo tho!

The tile colour shown here is rather prettier and more yellow than the glaze. I use it on porcelain flax, once fired at 1220°C and get a deeper pink with contrasting fine white (almost violet) speckles, breaking on edges. It can go a bit orangey if too thinly applied. To get the red and white colouring keep the glaze well mixed as it sinks to the bottom very quickly. Brush thickly onto textures but smooth surfaces are best dipped. For a pretty nude pink don't stir it thoroughly. Quite a runny glaze.
