I previously reviewed this Speedball UG and was really pleased with it, now Im having serious problems. Not sure if they've changed the formula but its incredibly hard to achieve even 1 successful clear glazing over this. It seems to be really chalky, the dipping time in the clear glaze needs to be minimal and is still susceptible to crawling. Its as if its not adhering to the clay body (or even between the 3 layers of UG) fully on slip cast white stoneware. Manufacturer unable to offer any meaningful advice on this other than to spend more money to purchase the Speedball clear glaze.......Amazing colour if it ever works.
A brilliant almost neon orange without transparent on top and more of a salmon pink with transparent. Either way, not the colours shown, but still very pleasing
