Terracolor 5709 Antarctic Satin Powdered Earthenware Glaze £8.91
Terracolor Powder Earthenware Glazes are a more cost effective and faster approach to glazing a larger volume of pots. Simply mix the powder with water and pass through a sieve to create a dipping glaze. It is important to note that especially on speckled glazes the residue left in the sieve should be returned to the glaze as this is what creates the speckled effect.
Firing range - 1020 - 1080°C (Cone 05 - 04)
This glaze is also available in ready made brush-on.

Mixes from powder to dip glaze effortlessly (I added a little more liquid to achieve a consistency I was happy to work with). Good suspension and some nice reactions with other Terracolor glazes. On its own produced dreamy, creamy, smooth cover. Will be one of my glazing essentials from now on.

Mixed well and gave even coverage. Has a slightly greenish tinge which I was not expecting. Needs careful use as the very flat effect might not be what is wanted but when combined with some of the brighter gloss stains is a great contrast. Takes stains well and no crazing on low fired earthenware.
