Like other reviewers this glaze has come out darker for me (firing 1250 with a 10-min soak). It's also a much more uniform blue with a glossy finish and hints of grey/green.

Good glaze
Used this as a dipping glaze and fired to 1220 C, very pleased with the result. It breaks well on edges

Hi,
I am wanting to use this on a black clay firing around 1200, is it opaque and what colour should I expect?
Thanks
Chris

Hi, black clays tend to be volatile due to the oxide content. I would expect this glaze to differ from the photo and likely not work very well. Unfortunately it's not something we have tested.

We've found some blue marble that hasn't been used and has dried up so are re-hydrating and re-sieving it before trying it out. Can you tell me what thickness is best? (I use your chun blue and know that that has to be thick). Also, we fire to 1246- will that be enough?

Thickness can give different results I have found around a 1mm in thickness is quite good. 1246 seems ok.
