Very pleased with this glaze (don't always write that!). Mixed exactly as suggested on the packaging it pours nicely, has decent density and a nice glossy white finish. The hint of brown around edges on unglazed areas is also welcome.
A very reliable base glaze in my studio. It's glossy and has wonderful brown speckles. On buff clay it is still very white if put on fairly thick, and if put on thinly it comes out in a lovely sandy shade. When I dip jugs for example, just under the spout it'll be a little thinner and I love that effect. A very reliable and easy glaze to work with.
Terracolor Powder Stoneware Glazes are a more cost effective and faster approach to glazing a larger volume of pots. Simply mix the powder with water and pass through a sieve to create a dipping glaze. All Terracolor glazes are Lead Free.
