Terracolor Powder Stoneware Glazes are a more cost effective and faster approach to glazing a larger volume of pots. Simply mix the powder with water and pass through a sieve to create a dipping glaze. All Terracolor glazes are Lead Free.
Suggested Firing Temperature Cone 4/7

I like this glaze. But I don't get the results shown on the picture on the outside, but sometimes on the inside. I get a mix of green and brown, looks great over some carving or relief. I would say more satin than glossy. I fire to cone 6 in an electric kiln.
In the past I have got an inconsistent result with this glaze - brown with hints of green. Would I get a better result by dipping it twice? Was my problem the glaze being too thin?.

Reactive glazes can be more sensitive than most glazes, they can easily be effected by the thickness of the glaze, firing temperature and even the type of clay or shape of a vessel will all influence the final outcome. My advice is to take a cylinder for example and glaze fully then glaze again but this time only 2/3 of the pot then glaze a third a final time but only 1/3 of the pot, then fire in your kiln to the recommend glaze temperature this will then give you 3 different thicknesses on the same pot so you will be able to see the effect thickness has with this glaze, hope this helps.
