Yes it can however it may run a little more so be sure to leave plenty of space for it to run.

Can this glaze be used for dinnerware? Is it 'food safe'? I'm using Scarva clays and usually fire to 1220 C.

If a glaze is food safe or not depends on several factors including the type of clay used, the firing temperature, the shape of the vessel, the thickness of glaze even the position of the vessel in the kiln can have an effect. Ideally a food safe test would be carried out by a reputable body like Lucideon. In the case of the glaze mentioned it would most likely pass a food safe test providing it was fired on a suitable body like our ES5 Original in an electric kiln and to the recommended firing temperatures.

Fired below max temp (i typically fire at 1240 degrees with 10 min hold) on stoneware clay how much will this glace run?

It is important to have a level of fluidity with this glaze in order to get the crystals to grow and develop. It is however a runny glaze at the higher temperature you could control this by applying thinner towards the bottom of your vessel so there is enough space for the glaze to run and flow. Or if you were very nervous you could test only glazing the inside of a bowl and at least if it did run alot it will just flow to the bottom of the bowl and not onto your kiln shelf.

the 2 vases in the picture appear to have completly different glaze effects on them. Are they the same glaze and if so how are the different effects achieved? I want to get the light effect with the dark speccles.
Thanks

They are the same glaze, the vase in the front is fired to a higher temperature therefore it has melted more and developed crystals.

I've just received this glaze and on the bag it says firing temp is 1140-1300, but on the website it says 1180-1250. Can you confirm the correct firing temp range for me please? Thanks

The firing temperature on the bag takes into consideration work heat so for example if you fire 1140°C with a 30 minute soak it will be around 1180°C in the kiln. I have found the ideal temperature on the controller is around 1220°C with a 30 minute soak, hope this helps.
