I've used this on a couple of white stoneware bodies, fired to cone 6, and while it's nothing like the product image, I think it's beautiful! For me it comes out soft matte, sort of warm heathered purple-grey with oatmeal breaks and bits of texture (crystals?).
I've not tested it at higher temps, but imagine that closer to cone 8 those crystals might melt and give it the more pink/oatmeal colour and glossier finish the less pleased customers are after.
Great service from Scarva as usual, but this glaze is nothing like the picture, which in my experience is unusual for terracolor. It's a lot less pinky peach and more, as it's title suggests, oatmealy. Tried it twice now and am struggling to get good coverage. Wil give it one last go.
Terracolor Powder Stoneware Glazes are a more cost effective and faster approach to glazing a larger volume of pots. Simply mix the powder with water and pass through a sieve to create a dipping glaze. All Terracolor glazes are Lead Free.
