This is a difficult glaze to get right -too thin goes brown/clear. Three thick coats worked for me. Fired to 1200 degrees Celsius as anything above gave bubbles and pin holes. Fired 150 per hour to 300, 130 per hour to 1100, 50 per hour to 1200 then 10 min soak. Works well on e/s original very white clay. Have tried on a brown clay too not as bright but still interesting. This Terracolor glaze is a beautiful orange, very stable on the white stoneware I use. It is an excellent glaze that I would recommend.

Do any of your glazes contain lead ? thank you

Could you tell me if your glaze results are from reduction or oxidation firing?

Hi. The temperature range given in the product description is 1,180 to 1,250 degrees centigrade. Could the glaze be fired a bit higher at say 1275 or 1280? I use a kiln at a pottery class and this is the temperature typically used by the school for stoneware. Thank you.

Will there be much of a variation to the colour shown if I'm firing only to 1180, as this is the maximum fhat my current clay can be fired to.
