Difficult but beautiful
This is a difficult glaze to get right -too thin goes milky and white, too thick goes almost black. Three dabbed coats worked for me. Fired to 1200 degrees Celsius as anything above gave bubbles and pin holes. Fired 150 per hour to 300, 130 per hour to 1100, 50 per hour to 1200 then 10 min soak. Works well on e/s original very white clay. Have tried on a brown clay too not as bright but still interesting. If you want to see the results check out my Instagram

Almost burgundy-brown
I fire my stoneware pots at 1260 degrees so at this temperature 3 uneven coats of Dark Red Ember became almost burgundy-brown. I will try again with a lighter coat at the same temperature and also at a lower temperature!

Disappointing
The colour seemed to burn away on a cone 6 firing. I was hoping it would have had some depth, but I guess I should have read the other reviews before pressing the buy button!

inconsisten, unpredictable
i've used this 4 times - completely wild results every time. uneven colour, bits of clay showing where they shouldn't. honestly i don't know what's wrong with it but I'm so disappointed cause otherwise the colour looks lush

Not happy with this product
This glaze turned out as a dark brown with only slight areas of red when using of buff clay and with 3 painted on layers. The temperature was as described for the product. The glaze also bubbled and left holes. I'm very disappointed. Nothing like the image displayed. When I tried with 2 layers the colour was even worse - dark dingy brown - not what I thought I was buying at all.

Difficult to apply and very poor result
As a paint on glaze it was extremely difficult to apply and obtain anything near a uniform coating. Applied four coats and after firing end result was extremely disappointing, best described as 'blotchy', some areas having no colour what so ever, other areas almost black, other areas approaching the advertised product colour. I would not recommend or purchase this type of glaze again
